Donuts anyone? “Like a Boss” mug was a SUPER sweet gift from my friend Emily via Ashley Brooke Designs
Coffee and donuts are pretty much a match made in foodie heaven- another perfect match is this colorful oversized cardigan and casual sundress. I don’t normally wear flip flops (for the record) but that’s exactly what went with the the easy laid back look. The dress is on super sale right now from Loft for $44.88 with an additional 40% off- only a few left online so if you can find it in stores you’ve hit gold. It’s the kind of dress that can easily transition from season to season- I’ve shown it here with the sweater A-because I had to feature this beautiful gem asap, and B-to show you that you can pull some of you Summer dresses into fall by styling them right.. Thinks cardigans, scarfs, booties, blazers, motto jackets.. you get the idea! It’s all about making what we have last!
On a different note I want to take a moment to talk about the amazing week I had! Funny thing is, I got my wisdom teeth taken out on Monday (not the most pleasant experience in the world but I survived) so you’d think my week would have been blah at best. But what happened was I participated in this wonderful instagram (https://instagram.com/josieincolor/) challenge given by the Rising Tide Society aiming to help creative entrepreneurs (am I putting myself in that category-ah maybe- i think..) create a genuine social media following by utilizing their genius motto, #communityovercompetition. Brilliant concept right? Throughout the week I met so many inspiring, beautiful, and dare I say intimidating (only because they are so very very cool) creatives/artists/entrepreneurs in the cyber stratosphere. Blogging can sometimes be a pretty lonely world so it was refreshing to get in touch with local and national talented human beings. If you’ve ever felt like there’s something you should be doing, instead of what you are doing, I highly suggest making room in your life for the should’s and dump out the shouldn’ts. Life is so so short and a year ago from now I was MISERABLE with what I was doing and where I was headed. It dawned on me one day that it was no one’s fault but my own- and step by step I embarked on my own adventure. I couldn’t find what I wanted so I created what I wanted. It’s all possible- and I encourage you to do the same! Yes, YOU!
