My goodness! I had the hardest time sorting through oodles of beautiful images captured by my dear photographer Sarah… it was SO hard to choose just a handful to share! Good news is there are even more for your viewing pleasure featured on The Fount Collective blog- those photos are all FILM! The ones featured here are digital, I felt like I had to show off those too! In other words, her talent has no end. My apologies for taking so long to post part 2 of our session- in case you missed part 1 you can see it here. Truth is I have hardly picked up my lap top throughout this pregnancy!

It was a goal of mine throughout these 9-10 months to really center myself. It was important to fill my days with life’s simple pleasures..cooking.. settling into our new home.. decorating our baby’s nursery.. and getting lots and lots of REST! Consider me warned about sleepless days and nights on end. I’ve had zero guilt taking two naps a day since leaving my day job- with occasional Netflix binges!

We’re currently 38.1 weeks and I’m ready to POP! Next blog post should be introducing you to our sweet baby boy!

Floral Fall Maxi

FloralDress001 Can you believe it, this dress is already sold out! Actually, I have to say, I can believe it because it is seriously the prettiest thing ever. I’ve linked the other color/print options still available that are also darling. But, let’s cross our fingers that Free People restocks this number because it’s one that truly can’t be beat!

I may keep this dress forever.. of course I will- I can’t imagine ever parting ways with it! I’m so sad that it already sold out before I could even get to creating this post.. I did have to alter the length of the sleeves a bit, and added in a zipper in the back because the last two loops with buttons went a tad to low down my back for my liking. If you are taller than 5’1 then that shouldn’t be a problem for you (and most of you are taller)! The length of it was fine as long as I wore a few inch tall heels with it. I am so drawn to pieces like this for my wardrobe because it’s a show stopper, an instant game changer, and works so well for tons of occasions.

I hope all of you have a great start to your week! I love hearing from you in your comments- thank you!

Bright Stripes + Denim

I am so in love with the bright colors from this Maeve top from Anthro.! The material of it is satin like and gives it a very lux feel. It’s a great transition piece into dare I say, the FALL season! Yes, it’s almost that time! How did August get here so fast- I do not know- but I welcome Fall with open arms! I love the warm colors of Fall and the way you can load on the layers with outfits. It really is my favorite season to dress for. I didn’t want to get too ahead of myself when styling this top because it is still technically Summer, so I paired it with easy denim cut offs.

My goal lately has been to mold this blog into a more colorful and inspiring space. That was my initial intention when starting Josie in Color, and what I’ve realized is that I haven’t exactly been on target with my materializing my vision. In the weeks to come you can expect to start seeing minor changes on here that aim closer to my mission. If you follow me on instagram than you already know I recently worked with an AH-mazing local DC photographer Sarah Beth, of Photos by Sarah Beth and oh my goodness did she help me produce images that are so on point with my ultimate vision. More of that to come in the weeks to follow- I literally cannot wait to share the beautiful work she created for Josie in Color. And I can assure you it will not be the last time I work with her!

Oh and I hope you guys like my new-do! It feels so refreshing!!
