How to make your outfit POP

Accessorize in Color

An easy and economical way to make your outfit interesting and POP is by adding a trendy bag or colorful clutch! All but a few of the items I selected are under $50- and the other few are right around that price point. For those days when we find ourselves rummaging through our closet for something to wear (never a fun way to start the day..) it’s helpful to think about keeping things simple with a basic tee and your favorite jeans. Then, just add a statement clutch or bag- and ba-bam! You look put together and ready to take on your busy day.. and they’re all busy days aren’t they?

A few trends to take note of this Fall: fringe, the envelope clutch, leopard print, tassels, and bright colors and prints!

  1. Leopard fold-over clutch

  2. Rhinestone clutch

  3. Color block leather clutch

  4. Beaded clutch

  5. Suede fringe crossbody

  6. Watercolor clutch

  7. Burgundy shoulder fringe bag

  8. Teal crossbody

  9. Stripped bag

  10. Color block envelope clutch

Monochromatic Wrap Dress

Okay guys, so I have to admit- this dress has been in my closet for a YEAR! And nope, I hadn’t worn it until now! Why do I do that? Please tell me I’m not the only one who buys something and then lets it sit for far too long.. I have linked a very similar dress to this one from the same website (LuLus- an all time fav) so you can create a look that’s similar, but still very much your own! I love love a wrap dress- they’re so flattering and feminine and they look great on all body types! Major plus- they define the waistline.

I wore this out to dinner with my husband, and I have to say, it made for a special Tuesday evening together. Life can become so routine- same ole- same ole- so I love when things get spiced up a bit with a random date night. I don’t know if Alex and I are still considered “newlyweds” anymore since we’ve been married for 16 months, but new or old we know the importance of keeping things “special.” Being married is truly the best part of my life and I really cannot wait to start our own little family together one day..
