My goodness! I had the hardest time sorting through oodles of beautiful images captured by my dear photographer Sarah… it was SO hard to choose just a handful to share! Good news is there are even more for your viewing pleasure featured on The Fount Collective blog- those photos are all FILM! The ones featured here are digital, I felt like I had to show off those too! In other words, her talent has no end. My apologies for taking so long to post part 2 of our session- in case you missed part 1 you can see it here. Truth is I have hardly picked up my lap top throughout this pregnancy!

It was a goal of mine throughout these 9-10 months to really center myself. It was important to fill my days with life’s simple settling into our new home.. decorating our baby’s nursery.. and getting lots and lots of REST! Consider me warned about sleepless days and nights on end. I’ve had zero guilt taking two naps a day since leaving my day job- with occasional Netflix binges!

We’re currently 38.1 weeks and I’m ready to POP! Next blog post should be introducing you to our sweet baby boy!

We’re Expecting!!

Announcement1 We are overjoyed to announce that we are expecting baby Rangeo in October 2016 !
Announcement2 Announcement3 Announcement4 Announcement5 Announcement6 Announcement7 Announcement8 It still feels so surreal for both of us that we are going to be parents soon! But I cannot deny that this has been something I’ve dreamed of since I was a little girl. Being a mom is a role I consider an honor, and I feel so blessed God has entrusted me with this new little life inside me. We don’t know if baby is a girl or boy, but we do plan to find out! Alex is keeping his fingers crossed for a boy and I have an inkling this could be a girl! We cannot wait to know!

If you’re wondering where I’ve been for the past few months, you’re not alone, I’ve been wondering the same thing myself! In a nutshell, Alex and I moved into our first home in late December of last year. We love our new (old) home in Northern Va.. we even got to experience our first blizzard shortly after moving in! We’ve both been adjusting to our new work schedules due to our further commute.. on the bright side to DC metro traffic, Alex and I commute to work together! Before we knew it we found out we were expecting and there went my free time- it quickly became devoted to any rest I could get. If you’ve had a child you know what I’m talking about- that beyond exhausted feeling you can’t shake. Sleep is all you can think about. Well sleep and this new little life!

Pregnancy overall has been good to me, although Alex stands witness to a few mood swings and some difficult mornings. Without his care I don’t know if I would’ve made it out of the first trimester! He has been the BEST and our baby will be so lucky to have him as their father.

These photos were shot in our backyard by Alex and our trusty tripod! We’ve been having so much fun doing our baby research and following along on our baby apps, Ovia for me and Who’s Your Daddy for Alex. So far I have the infamous pregnancy craving of pickles, and I also cannot get enough fruit (I use to not ever want fruit)!

Life is about to get a whole lot sweeter and we’re thrilled to celebrate this news with all of you!
